Escrow Account

An escrow account is an account where a third party, the escrow agent, holds assets or funds on behalf of two parties or more involved in a transaction, releasing them only upon the fulfillment of specific conditions outlined in an agreement. Escrow accounts are used to ensure that funds or assets are protected and disbursed according to the terms of a transaction, rather than being released immediately to one party.
